The Ghana Philanthropy Forum and Pure Trust Social Investors Foundation is partnering to promote the Community Foundation concept in Ghana. The project is being sponsored by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, located in USA, with a branch in South Africa.
- A Community Foundation (LINK TO GALLERY) is a public charity that typically focuses on supporting a geographical area or community, primarily by facilitating and pooling donations from all potential sources to address community needs. A Community foundation may also serve as a neutral convener, bringing diverse opinions and players together for the good of the whole community. In this sense, the community foundation serves as a catalyst for addressing issues facing a community.
